Applying early is encouraged, as the University has the right to limit enrollment due to space availability in major programs and overall student capacity. Illinois State's preferred filing period for freshman students for the fall 2010 term is September 1 – November 15.
Students applying and submitting all necessary transcripts and test scores during this time frame will be notified of an admission decision by December 31. Students who apply and submit all necessary transcripts and test scores between November 16 and March 1 will be notified of an admission decision by April 1.
Applications are considered incomplete until all required documents, including official transcripts and test scores, have been received. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
