Undergraduate Academic Levels

  • Freshman: First year student (up to 29 semester hours)
  • Sophomore: Second year student (30-59 semester hours)
  • Junior: Third year student (60-89 semester hours)
  • Senior: Fourth year student (90 semester hours and more)

To earn a bachelor's degree, a student must complete 120 hours.

Undergraduate Freshman Student

  • First-year university students
  • Completed high school or secondary school
  • Pursuing a U.S. bachelor's degree
  • No previous university-level or post-secondary coursework
  • Declaration of Finances verifying your financial support for your education.

Undergraduate Transfer Student

  • Previous university-level or post-secondary coursework
  • Has not completed U.S. bachelor's degree or equivalent (or wishes to pursue a second bachelor's degree)
  • Declaration of Finances verifying your financial support for your education.

Graduate Student

  • Completed a U.S. bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Pursuing a master's or doctoral degree
  • Declaration of Finances verifying your financial support for your education.

English Language Institute (ELI)

If you need to improve your English skills before beginning a degree program, our English Language Institute may be right for you. The classes integrate training in reading, writing, speaking, and listening with academic development in a variety of subject areas. Learn more about ELI admissions.
